It is unique that the beam is actually a QCW pulse train of about 5khz 1nS long pulses. This means that the actual power per pulse is in the hundreds of watts which is rather interesting to play with. Typical application for it is florescence spectroscopy and various biomedical uses. You can build a driver for it very easy using one of the surplus BW tek blue DPSS laser drivers and add some shunting circuitry to fine tune the temperature of the TEC sets.It is an ideal fit since it uses 2 tec sets, one to cool the LD and one to cool the resonator cavity. Just use some variable resistors to trick the BW tek DPSS driver into thinking it is at temp at wherever set-point you want it to be and add a cheap photodiode to measure the scatter from the LD to control the gross power output the same way Coherent does with the big ones. If it does not sell this month, i'll sell it next month as a ready to go system with a BW tek driver, plug and play. If that's what you actually want, i can offer this as a separate service so you'll end up with a turn key 355nm DPSS laser.
